CARACTERISTICS

Adesilex P7 is a grey or white powder, composed of cement, fine aggregates, synthetic resins and special additives, according to a formula developed in MAPEI's R&D laboratories.

• easy workability;

• hardening without appreciable shrinkage;

Do not use Adesilex P7 in the following cases:

• on precast or poured-in-place concrete walls;
• on walls or floors subject to strong movements or vibrations (wood, asbestos cement, etc.);
• on metallic surfaces

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Preparation of the substrate

• All substrates to which Adesilex P7 is applied must be flat, stable and free of degraded parts, greases, oils, paints, waxes, etc.
• The cementitious substrates must not be subject to shrinkage after the ceramic tiles have been laid; therefore, during the spring and summer, the plasters must have a maturing time of at least 1 week for each cm of thickness, and at least 28 days in the case of cementitious screeds, unless special MAPEI binders for screeds have been used.
• If the surface of the substrate is too hot due to exposure to the sun's rays, it is necessary to cool it beforehand by moistening it with water. Gypsum supports and anhydrite screeds must be perfectly dry (max. residual humidity 0.5%), as well as sufficiently hardened and free of dust, and it is essential that they are treated with a primer

• Mix Adesilex P7 with clean water until a homogeneous, lump-free paste is obtained. Let it stand for about 5 minutes and then mix it again.
• Use 24-26 parts of water per 100 parts by weight of Adesilex P7, which is equivalent to 6.0-6.5 liters of water per 25 kg of Adesilex P7. Mixed in this manner, Adesilex P7 has a shelf life of approximately 8 hours.

Adesilex P7 is applied to the substrate using a notched trowel. Choose a trowel that achieves 65-70% adhesive coverage of the reverse side of tiles laid on interior walls and light traffic areas, and 100% coverage on placements in high traffic areas as well as on all exterior work
