Mapeband SA is a self-adhesive band based on butyl rubber, coupled on the external surface to a synthetic, alkali-resistant non-woven fabric, which guarantees excellent adhesion of the subsequent waterproofing system chosen. Mapeband SA adheres to various types of substrates, whether non-absorbent such as aluminum, copper, steel, plastic, bituminous sheeting, ceramics, or absorbent such as concrete, masonry, cellular concrete, fibre-reinforced concrete and plaster.

Important notices
- Do not use Mapeband SA on damp substrates.
- Do not use Mapeband SA for sealings subjected to water pressure.
- Use Mapeband SA in combination with waterproofing made with Mapegum WPS or Aquaflex Roof or with a product from the Mapelastic line.
- On ceramic coated substrates, treat the surfaces with Eco Prim Grip primer before applying Mapeband SA.

APPLICATION CAMPOSES
- Mapeband SA is a self-adhesive, butyl adhesive band, for waterproofing the joints between horizontal and vertical surfaces on terraces, balconies, bathrooms and showers.
- This band is a complementary product to elastic waterproofing systems such as Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapegum WPS, Mapelastic AquaDefense and Aquaflex Roof.
