INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES

Due to the entry into force of the modification of the "Ley de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información" (LSSICE) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is compulsory to obtain the express consent of the user of all websites that use dispensable cookies, before the user browses them. 

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies, such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to provide correct functioning of the website.

The use of these devices allows the web server to remember certain information about the user, such as their preferences for viewing the pages of that server, name and password, products they are most interested in, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE REGULATION AND EXEMPT COOKIES

In accordance with the EU directive, the cookies that require the user's informed consent are analytical cookies and advertising and affiliation cookies, with the exception of those of a technical nature and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user.

WHAT TYPE OF COOKIES ARE THERE?

There are five main groups of biscuits:

  • Analytical cookies: these collect information on the use of the website.
  • Social cookies: these are necessary for external social networks.
  • Affiliation cookies: these enable tracking of visits from other websites with which the website has an affiliation agreement (affiliated companies).
  • Advertising and behavioural cookies: these collect information about the user's preferences and personal choices (retargeting).
  • Technical and functional cookies: these are strictly necessary for the use of the website and the provision of the contracted service.

COOKIES USED ON THIS WEBSITE

  • PHPSESSID: technical and strictly necessary cookie containing the session identifier. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • _lang: technical and strictly necessary cookie containing the session language. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • qtrans_cookie_test: technical and strictly necessary cookie containing the value of whether or not the installation of cookies has been accepted. It expires 1 year after the last update.
  • _ga: Google Analytics cookie that enables the unique visitor tracking function. The first time a user enters the website through a browser, this cookie will be installed. When this user enters the website again with the same browser, the cookie will consider that it is the same user. Only if the user changes browser, it will be considered as another user.   • gat: This cookie is linked to Google Analytics Universal. It is used to limit the rate of requests, limiting the collection of data in places with high traffic. It expires after 10 minutes.

For the purposes of processing personal data, Retail Rocket uses the following:

  1. rcuid: Unique Customer Identifier
  2. rrpuid: Unique identifier of the user for A/B testing of product recommendations
  3. rrVisitorSegment: Segment a user in an A/B test
  4. rrpusid: Unique session identifier, used to track different people using the same device
  5. rrlpuid: Visitor identifier received by the Client
  6. rrrbt: This cookie stores a signal that a visitor is a robot (e.g. automated search engine)
  7. rrviewed: Numeric identifiers of 10 of the most recently viewed products
  8. rr-viewItemId: Numeric identifier of the last viewed product.rrbasket: Nu
  9. meric identifier of the 10 products recently added to the shopping cart.
  10. rraddToBasketItemId: Numeric identifier of the last product added to the shopping cart.
  11. rrRecomAddToCartItemId: Numeric identifier of the last product added to the shopping cart in the Retail Rocket recommendation series
  12. rr-RecomItemId: Numeric identifier of a product that was clicked on through a series of Retail Rocket recommendations
  13. rr-MethodName: Name of the algorithm that generated a recommendation of a product clicked through a list of Retail Rocket recommendations.
  14. rrsubFormLastView: This cookie stores a signal that the dropdown to get the outgoing email was shown for the first time.
  15. rrmailid: Unique identifier of the Retail Rocket email that a visitor has clicked on
  16. rrutmsource: This cookie stores the value of the most recent utm_source URL parameter.

HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER

Chrome

  • Select the Tools icon
  • Click on Settings.
  • Click Show advanced options.
  • In the Privacy section, click Content Settings.
  • Delete cookies: click All cookies and site data.....
  • Do not allow cookies to be stored.
  • Click Clear browsing data (clear cache).
  • Close and restart your browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11

  • Select Tools | Internet Options.
  • Click on the General tab.
  • In the "Browsing History" section, click Delete Browsing History on Exit.
  • Select Delete files.
  • Select Delete cookies.
  • Click Delete.
  • Click OK.
  • Close and restart the browser.

Firefox. Version 18

  • Select Firefox | History | Clear Recent History.
  • Next to "Details", click on the down arrow.
  • Select the following checkboxes: Cookies, Cache, Active Logs and Logs.
  • Using the "Time range to delete" drop-down menu, select All.
  • Click Clear Now.
  • Close and restart the browser. You can accept or reject cookies individually in Firefox Preferences, in the History section available under Tools > Options > Privacy.

  • Select the Safari / Edit | Reset Safari icon.
  • Select the following checkboxes: Clear History, Clear All Website Data, Clear All Website Data.
