Antipluviol W is a milky dispersion based on silanes and siloxanes in aqueous emulsion, characterized by a high capacity to impregnate all absorbent mineral materials used in construction, making them water-repellent.
CARACTERISTICS
  • Applied on a porous substrate, Antipluviol W penetrates deeply and reacts with the natural moisture present inside the substrate to form a hydrophobic layer inside the pores and capillaries, which repels water
  • Because of this property, Antipluviol W is an effective protector against aggressive agents present in the atmosphere, transported inside porous materials by rainwater. The water-repellent treatment with Antipluviol W also improves the self-cleaning effect of the facade and reduces the adhesion of mosses and algae

  • Antipluviol W does not form a film, so it does not modify the water vapor permeability and does not visibly alter the aesthetic appearance of the material

APPLICATION FIELDS

  • Colorless protection of cementitious plasters, aerated concrete, facing bricks, natural and artificial stones against the action of heavy rain.
Some application examples

  • Treatment of moisture seepage in plastered walls exposed to the action of rainwater. Colorless water-repellent protection of historic buildings or buildings of particular architectural value.
  • Water repellent treatment of facing brick and natural stone walls.

M IMPORTANT NOTICE

Impregnations with Antipluviol W are not suitable for:
.
  • Horizontal surfaces (terraces)
  • Basements
  • Water tanks
  • Water tanks.
  • Walls subject to moisture rising with transport of salts
  • Elevator shafts or any element subject to water pressure
  • Water tanks
  • Walls subject to rising damp with transport of salts
  • Gypsum surfaces
  • Synthetic plaster or plaster decorated with synthetic paints

CONSUMPTION

Consumption is strongly influenced by the absorbent power of the support and can vary between 0.20-1 kg/m2.
Some materials with indicative relative consumption are listed below:
  • Exposed face bricks: 0.50-0.75 kg/m2
  • Traditional renders: 0.50-.080 kg/m2
  • Tuff type stone: 0.50-1.00 kg/m2
  • Cement plaster: 0.20-0.40 kg/m2
  • Marble: 0.20-0.50 kg/m2
