Mape-Antique FC Civile is a cement-free, premixed powder plastering mortar, composed of lime and Eco-Puzolana, fine natural sands and special additives, with very low emission of volatile organic substances (EMICODE EC1 R Plus), according to a formula developed in MAPEI's R&D laboratories. Based on the EN 998-1 standard, this product is classified as GP: "General purpose mortar for interior/exterior plastering", Category CS IV

CARACTERISTICS

  • Mape-Antique FC Civile, once mixed with water in a suitable and clean container, becomes a breathable plastering mortar and troweled finish, resistant to salts, with a plastic consistency, easy to work with a metal trowel, either on vertical surfaces or on ceilings.
  • Mortars made with Mape-Antique FC Civile have very similar characteristics, in terms of mechanical resistance, elastic modulus and water vapor permeability, to those of lime, lime and pozzolan or hydraulic lime based plaster mortars, originally used in the construction of buildings.
  • Compared to these mortars, Mape-Antique FC Civile has a high mechanical resistance, elastic modulus and water vapor permeability.
  • Compared to these mortars, Mape-Antique FC Civile has properties that make it resistant to different physical-chemical aggressions, such as the presence of soluble salts, freeze-thaw cycles, the washing action of rainwater, the alkali-acid reaction and the appearance of plastic shrinkage cracks.
  • Some characteristic values, relative to the main properties of Mape-Antique FC Civile, both in the fresh and hardened state, are given in the technical data table (in the Application Data and Final Performance sections).

AMINORITY VIEWS

A

  • It is not recommended to use Mape-Antique FC Civile either on structures affected by a strong presence of capillary rising damp, or with a high concentration of soluble salts (in this case it is preferable to use Mape-Antique FC Grosso or products from the Silexcolor or Silancolor lines).
  • Mape-Antique FC Civile must be applied with a maximum thickness of 2 mm per coat.
  • Mape-Antique FC Civile must be applied with a maximum thickness of 2 mm per coat.
  • Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile as a mortar to be poured into a formwork (in this case use Mape-Antique LC, mixed with aggregates of suitable granulometry).
  • Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile as a consolidating grout to be injected into structures (in this case use Mape-Antique I or Mape-Antique F21).
  • Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile as a consolidating grout to be injected into structures.
  • Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile for plastering.
  • Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile for plastering.
  • Do not add additives, cement or other binders (lime and gypsum) to Mape-Antique FC Civile.
  • Do not use paints or colored coatings of low thickness that may significantly modify the breathability of Mape-Antique FC Civile and therefore prevent the evaporation of moisture present in the wall. In this case, use products from the Silexcolor or Silancolor lines, lime-based paints, or water-repellent treatments such as Antipluviol S or Antipluviol W.
  • Do not apply Mape-Antique FC Civile at temperatures below +5 °C.

.

APPLICATION FIELDS

  • Fat plastering of macroporous dehumidifying plasters, for the restoration of walls degraded by capillary rising damp and soluble salts, in existing buildings, including those of historical-artistic value.
  • Fat plastering of breathable and "structural" base plasters.
  • Fat plastering of lime-based plasters, degraded by the action of atmospheric agents and environmental conditions, as well as by the passage of time.

Some examples of applications

  • Finishing troweling of dehumidifying and macroporous coarse-grained plasters, in interiors and/or exteriors, in the restoration of masonry walls degraded by the presence of capillary rising damp and soluble salts .
  • Fat troweling finishing of coarse-grained dehumidifying plasters on masonry walls in lagoon areas or near the sea.
  • Finishing troweling of dehumidifying plasters of coarser grain, made on masonry walls made in lagoon areas or near the sea.
  • Finishing of new dehumidifying plasters or existing lime-based plasters, on stone, brick, tuff and mixed walls, even in buildings listed as having historical and artistic value by the Administration.
  • Finishing of new dehumidifying plasters or existing lime-based plasters, on stone, brick, tuff and mixed walls, even in buildings listed as having historical and artistic value by the Administration.
  • Finishing troweling of breathable and "structural" lime-based plasters with a coarser grain.
