CARACTERISTICS

.

Planicrete modified cementitious mixtures, once set and hardened, offer improved adhesion to all surfaces, improved flexural and abrasion resistance, improved waterproofing and resistance to freeze/thaw cycles, improved flexibility, and improved chemical resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, saline solutions and oils.

Important notices

.

  • Do not use Planicrete pure as a primer or bonding bridge: it must always be mixed with Portland cement or, if required, with Mapecem, MapecemPronto, Topcem or Topcem Pronto.
  • Do not use mixtures with Planicrete at temperatures below +5 °C or above +40 °C.
  • In very hot or windy environmental conditions, after application, adequately protect the surfaces from drying too quickly
  • The use of Planicrete in mortars and concretes does not exempt from the strict compliance with all the rules valid for the proper execution of the work and, in particular, the use of aggregates with a particle size appropriate to the thickness to be applied.
  • If Planicrete is mixed in a concrete mixer, never mix for more than 3 minutes, in order to avoid excessive formation of occluded air.

APPLICATION FIELDS

  • As an additive to improve the mechanical and bonding characteristics of cement-based mortars in screeds, plasters, thin-set plasters, etc.
  • As an additive for highly adherent cementitious grouts, used as bonding bridges

Some examples of applications

  • High-strength cementitious grouts, both indoors and outdoors
  • Cementitious grouts of high resistance, both indoors and outdoors
  • Cementitious mortars for laying ceramic tiles, according to the traditional system.
  • High-strength cementitious renders, both indoors and outdoors
  • Adhesive cementitious grouts for bonded screeds (including Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem and Topcem Pronto)
  • Performance of bonding coatings for plasters
  • Cementitious adhesive grouts for bonded screeds.
  • Cementitious-based mortars for filling holes, reconstruction of deteriorated areas and surface finishing of poured-in-place and precast concrete
  • Cementitious-based mortars for the finishing of surfaces subject to heavy abrasion (industrial flooring, ramps, channels, etc.)
