Mapeflex MS Crystal Mapei Silicone Cartridge - Transparent

Mapeflex MS Crystal is a thixotropic adhesive and sealant made from siliconized polymers and, therefore, contains no silicone or isocyanates.

Compared to polyurethane products, Mapeflex MS Crystal is easier to apply and smoother (especially when applied at low temperatures), has a wider application temperature range, does not swell even in particularly humid conditions, is more UV resistant, sets faster, has a longer shelf life and is supplied in standard plastic cartridges.

CARACTERISTICS

Mapeflex MS Crystal can also be applied over substrates that are temporarily damp due to unsuitable environmental conditions (just after rainy weather, when in contact with water, if there is moisture in the atmosphere, etc.). If there is continuous capillary rising dampness, apply a coat of FD Primer beforehand. If applied on wet substrates or on substrates continuously submerged during service, the mechanical performance of the product could be significantly lower compared to use in dry conditions.

Mapeflex MS Crystal is solvent-free, has a very low emission of volatile organic compounds and is characterized by high mechanical strength according to ISO 11600 standards (class F20 HM).

Mapeflex MS Crystal sets by reacting with moisture in the air without emitting significant levels of liquids or gases that could be potentially hazardous to the user or the environment; therefore, no hazard warning labels are required on the packaging. The product is delivered ready to use and is available in plastic cartridges for use with standard sealant guns.

Mapeflex MS Crystal complies with EN 15651-1 ("Sealants for internal and external facades") performance classification F-EXT-INT and EN 15651-3 ("Sealants for sanitary joints") performance classification XS1.

Used as a sealant:


Elastic sealant and filler for internal and external spaces, such as cracks and crevices, joints and expansion joints subject to movement of up to 20%. Most commonly used for the following applications:

- filling gaps between baseboards and floors;
- window and door hardware;
- shower enclosures


Used as an elastic adhesive:

A thin layer is sufficient to form an elastic bond in the most commonly used building materials. Ideal for bonding transparent glass and plastic objects *. Ideal for bonding glass shelves and lids and glass objects in general.

Mapeflex MS Crystal also bonds to many other types of building materials, such as:
- cement and cement-based materials;
- bricks;
- metals such as copper, aluminum and pre-painted
surfaces;
