The FF197 is a high quality single-component polyurethane foam, which expands and hardens with the humidity of the air and the substrate. It has been specially designed for the static joints of the building that must have a fire resistance (up to 4 hours) and be hermetic to fumes and gases. It is suitable for use on all substrates used in construction. This aerosol uses an innovative "2 in 1" system that allows it to be applied manually or by means of a spray gun.

CARACTERISTICS

  • PV (according to French standard) with fire resistance classification up to 4 h according to EN 13501-2.
  • Fireproof, smoke-tight and gas-tight.
  • Ignifugous, smoke-tight and gas-tight.
  • Excellent dimensional stability.
  • "2 in 1" : manual or spray application.
  • Can be painted or coated with a plaster finish.

Preparation

.

  • Apply FF197 at an ambient temperature between +5 °C and + 35 °C. The aerosol should be at a temperature between +10 °C and +30 °C.
  • Apply FF197 at an ambient temperature between +5 °C and + 35 °C.
  • The substrates must be solid and free of dust and grease.
  • Substrate must be solid and free of dust and grease.
  • Wet the bonding surfaces to obtain a foam with a homogeneous cellular structure and faster curing.

Application Tips

.

  • For filling cavities we recommend applying the product manually; if a more precise use of the foam is required, the aerosol can be screwed onto an applicator gun.

Manual application

.

  • Remove the protection from the top of the spray .
  • Follow the directions that indicate how to place the cannula.
  • Lightly press the valve to extract the foam; you can regulate the amount of foam extracted by pulling the valve lever with greater or lesser force.
  • Remove the foam from the cannula.
  • Fill the cavities to 50% to allow the foam to expand.
  • Fill the cavities to 50% to allow the foam to expand.
  • For larger cavities (more than 5 cm deep), it is preferable to apply the foam in several layers and to humidify between each layer (wait 30 minutes between each layer).

Application with a spray gun

.

  • Remove the protection from the top of the aerosol.
  • Remove the protection from the top of the aerosol.
  • Screw the aerosol into the gun as far as it will go.
  • Screw the aerosol into the gun as far as it will go.
  • You can dose the amount of foam ejected by lightly pressing the trigger of the gun until you obtain the desired amount.
  • Fill the cavities to 80% to leave room for foam expansion.
  • Fill the cavities to 80% to leave room for foam expansion.
  • Fill the cavities to 80% to leave room for foam expansion.
  • For larger cavities (more than 5 cm deep), it is preferable.
  • Apply the foam in several layers and wet out between each layer (wait 30 minutes between each layer).

Health and Safety Precautions

.

  • Work only in ventilated areas. Do not smoke. Do not use the product near a source of ignition. Protect your eyes with safety goggles and wear protective clothing and gloves.
  • Do not use near a source of ignition.
  • Call a physician in case the product comes in contact with skin or eyes. Keep the product out of the reach of children.
  • For further information please refer to the Safety Data Sheet of the product, available on our website or on request.

Cleaning

.

  • After use, quickly clean the valve and applicator (for manual use) or the outside of the gun and nozzle (for spray gun use) with illbruck AA290 cleaner.
  • Hardened foam can only be removed by mechanical means (cutter, sanding with sandpaper,...). Therefore, we advise you to protect the floor and working areas with plastic sheeting or paper.

Warranty

.

  • Nullifire FF197 has passed the European certification test EN 1366-4:2006.
  • Nullifire FF197 prevents the penetration of flames, smoke and toxic gases. Nullifire FF197 is used to make fireproof joints for up to 4 hours, for joints between 5 and 40 mm wide, in slab and plate (cf PV of EFECTIS classification in accordance with standard 13501-2).

* Note : EFECTIS tests have been carried out on a scope of application in static concrete/concrete joint up to 7.5%. On construction sites controlled by a Supervisory Office, you should check and validate the use of this product in the intended application.
