Eporip by Mapei is a solvent-free epoxy adhesive, consisting of two pre-measured components (component A = resin and component B = hardener) that must be mixed together before use.

CARACTERISTICS

  • Eporip has the consistency of a slightly thixotropic paste that can be applied by brush on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Eporip polymerizes without shrinkage and, after hardening, is impermeable to water, has excellent dielectric properties and high mechanical properties, as well as adhesion to concrete and steel.
  • Eporip complies with the principles defined by EN 1504-9 ("Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and conformity assessment. General principles for the use of products and systems") and to the minimum requirements of EN 1504-4 ("Structural bonding")

.

AM IMPORTANT VIEWS

.

  • Do not apply Eporip at temperatures below +5° C.
  • Do not apply Eporip on wet surfaces (although it tolerates slight dampness)
  • Do not pour fresh concrete over hardened Eporip
  • Do not pour fresh concrete over hardened Eporip.
  • Do not apply Eporip on dusty, friable or inconsistent substrates.

APPLICATION FIELDS

  • Performing monolithic working joints between fresh and hardened concrete.
  • Glacing of precast concrete elements
  • Mixed bonding of precast concrete elements.
  • Mixed concrete-steel bonding
  • Mixed concrete-steel bonding
  • Filling of cracks.
  • Crack filling in concrete
  • Filling of cracks in concrete.

Some application examples

.

  • Joint bridge in structural reinforcement of beams and columns.
  • Bonding bridge on degraded industrial pavements
  • Bonding bridge in rigid watertight joints (e.g. slab-wall foundation of tanks)
  • Bonding bridge in rigid watertight joints (e.g. slab-wall foundation of tanks)
  • Strengthening of beams using the metal cladding technique
  • Crack or crack sealing in cementitious screeds

.

CONSUMPTION

.

Consumption varies depending on the irregularities present in the support and the method used for its application

Indicatively:

- bonding bridge on a rough support: 0.5 ÷ 0.7 kg/m²,;

.

- bonding bridge on very uneven substrates: 1.0 ÷ 2.0 kg/m²,;

.

- crack sealing: 1.35 kg/l of cavity to be filled;

.

- gluing of precast concrete elements

- gluing of precast concrete elements

- gluing of precast concrete

or concrete-steel: 1.35 kg/m², per mm thickness
